You will own the rights for your domain name registered through Sudacom Web Hosting , for as long as you continue to pay the registration fees.
How long does it take for the world to recognize my domain name? OR How quickly will my account be set up after I sign up?
After ordering, Sudacom Web Hosting will update our internal DNS (domain name servers) within 24 hours. Our domain registration partner, will update their DNS within 24 hours. After these steps, it is up to the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) around the world to update their DNS to recognize your domain name. Most major ISPs, such as Earthlink and AOL, update their DNS several times each day. However, smaller ISPs may update their DNS less frequently. Therefore, most of the world will recognize your domain name within a day, but it may take up to two days for the entire Internet community to access your domain name.
Can I change the WhoIs Information of mydomain ?
Yes! You can use our Domain manager to update the WhoIs information of your domain.
Can I change the NameServers of my domain brought from Sudacom Web Hosting ?
Yes! You can use our Domain manager to update the DNS information of your domain.
Can I change the MX entry of my domain?
You can change the MX entry of your domain from within the Cpanel.
I want to transfer my domain from Sudacom Web Hosting to another Domain Register. How ?
You can disable the Registry lock on your domain using our Domain Manager.
What should I consider when choosing a package?
There are four basic items you should think about when selecting the right web hosting package:
· How large will your web site be? Estimate the number of pages your web site will have and their content. How many images, music files, video files or other content do you plan to add? The more pages and files, the more disk space you will require.
· How busy will your web site be? Estimate the number of customers who will visit your site on a busy day. The more people on your web site, the more data transfer you will require.

If you have a site created or intend on creating a web site for your domain name then the answer is yes you will require web hosting.
What If I just want to use my domain for email?
No Problem! You can choose to set up an email forwarding account this option can also be used for pop3 accounts. Email forwarding package is unlimited and therefore you can have as many accounts or forwarders as you desire.
Is 500 MB/month of bandwidth (data transfer) going to be enough to support my web site?
This is a considerable amount of transfer. To offer an idea of what this actually means, an example is as follows. An average size web site with average size pages receiving approximately 80+ unique visitors per day would equal approximately 400mb transfer per month
Is 10mb of web space enough?
This is generally more than enough space. To offer an idea of what this actually means, an example is as follows. An 8 page web site with approx 20 images including logo, photographs and other images would be approx : 0.5MB-3MB. To find out the size of your entire site you can navigate to the directory in which you keep your site. (Usually in C:\Mywebs or My Documents or wwwroot e.t.c.) Then Right Click on the folder. Choose Properties It should say SIZE = xxxxx
How do I transfer files to my web site?
1. You must have an FTP Program. (Or Frontpage Extensions) There is more in-depth documentation/information . 2. You can also upload your files by using webbased upload interface in your control panel.
How long does it take to set up a new account?
We can have your account set up immediately, but your domain name will not become active until it has fully transferred or fully propogated.(See table below for more information) With FREE domain transfer: UK domains = 4 hours (average) from transfer completion. TLD domains = 6 hours (average) from transfer completion. Other domains = 10 hours (average) from transfer completion.
Can I access my domain address with or without the "www"?
Yes. One of the most important features of our web hosting service. All domains will be functional both with and without the www.

Is it more or less expensive to host my site on a Unix or a Windows platform?
That depends on what you mean by "hosting your site". If you plan to host the site yourself, and you own the web servers or the software on them, then Unix (or Linux) would definitely be a less expensive option. If you plan to sign up with a web hosting company, and they own the servers and the software installed on them, you will find that there are excellent hosting options available for each platform at very comparable prices.
